It has been a winter wonderland in Union Gap for the last few weeks, and fortunately, we are close to a lot of winter activity areas!
Of course, Christmas, and Christmas shopping has been on everyone's mind. Our own Valley Mall has had a wonderful December, and with new stores such as Victoria's Secret and restaurants such as Panera Bread we have seen busy stores from open to close. If you haven't finished your shopping yet, we suggest you get in as early as you can to beat the crowds, as the day wears on, more and more shoppers make it to the stores of their choice. Having trouble getting around in the snow? Our Union Gap Transit is a great solution, and they have had extended holiday hours through the season! They are a great option after Christmas also for you to take your Gift Cards back to Union Gap for more shopping!

Did you know Fullbright Park and the Central Washington Ag Museum is a popular place to cross-country ski and snow shoe when we have snow?
There are acres and acres of nice flat terrain and we've seen a lot of people out there enjoying a peaceful afternoon on their skis or snow shoes. Go ahead and strap them up and give it a shot!
Finally, Union Gap is only 20 miles away from one of the most popular snowmobiling sno-parks in the state, the Ahtanum Sno-Park. Directions can't be much easier, head out of Union Gap on Ahtanum Road, take a right when you get to the fork at Tampico and you'll literally drive directly into the sno-park. It is that easy, and you'll be rewarded with miles and miles of groomed trails for sledders of all levels. If you're from out of town, our Union Gap hotels all have snowmobile packages with discounted rates and ample parking for your sleds and haulers. Plus, we are directly off the highway so it is easy to get in-and-out. After a full day sledding in the hills, head back to Union Gap and you have over 30 dining options to choose from, everything from your favorite fast food to fantastic and delicious local and national restaurants.
